• 02-20-19 - writers at work on writing, on race copy

Some people say we should stop talking about race. But dismissing matters on race doesn’t negate the reality of racism we still face in this country.

    Or in our city.

The Kansas City Public Library invites the community to participate in this free event that focuses on the issue of race. On Writing, on Race with Anthony Grooms, DaMaris Hill, Whitney Terrell takes place tomorrow evening at the Plaza Library, 6:30 pm. These writers discuss their craft and our nation’s apprehensive discourse on race. Listen in to my discussion with KC author Whitney Terrell on the topic and tomorrow’s conversation.
